Susan M. Sernak-Martinelli engages in the general practice of law, including all aspects of family law (including adoption, divorce, custody and support, protection from abuse, children and youth services matters, name changes), personal injury; social security disability, real estate, and wills and estates.
Attorney Sernak-Martinelli was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1996, and has practiced in Hazleton, Pennsylvania since that time. She is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a B.S. Degree in Psychology in 1991. After graduation, she secured a position with Northeast Counseling Services, Hazleton, Pennsylvania as an intake and crisis worker. She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from Temple School of Law in 1996. She became a practicing attorney at the law firm of Laputka & Pedri, Hazleton, Pennsylvania in 1996. In January, 2002, she joined the law firm of Ustynoski & Marusak. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association.
Attorney Sernak-Martinelli has served on the Board of Directors for United Charities, Inc, the local Meals on Wheels Association, and the Board of Serento Gardens, Inc., Hazleton, Pennsylvania. She is also an active Member of Christ Lutheran Church of Conyngham serving on Council.
Attorney Sernak-Martinelli is married to Frank Martinelli. They have a daughter, Frankie Marie and reside in Drums, Pennsylvania.
