Richard J. Marusak engages in the general practice of law, including civil accident case litigation, workers’ compensation, real estate, business and commercial transactions, and wills and estates. His practice has included appearances in various Pennsylvania County Courts of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania Appellate Courts and the U.S. Federal Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Attorney Marusak was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1976, and has practiced in Hazleton, Pennsylvania since that time. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton, where he earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting in 1973. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Dickinson School of Law in 1976. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association For Justice, and the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association.
Attorney Marusak serves on the Lawyer-Realtor Committee of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association. He has served as a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association Executive Committee from 2009-2010. He is also a Member of the Boards of United Charities, Inc., and United Children’s Homes, Inc., West Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
Attorney Marusak and his wife, Andrea, (a graduate of Penn State University) are the parents of two children, Lisa A. Grove, an Elementary Education Teacher in Cary, NC, and Matthew J. Marusak, a Production Editor at Oxford University Press in Morrisville, NC, both of whom are Penn State University Undergraduates.
